Alien Dalvik lets Android apps run on iOS
One of the largest strengths of any mobile platform is the list of applications that run on it.
The Myriad Group hopes to capitalise on this ground-rule with the release of Alien Dalvik 2.0, a mobile technology that allows users to run Android applications on non-Android smartphone platforms, one of which is iOS.
Myriad hopes that the Alien Dalvik technology is the first step in moving the industry towards a single app standard, by “removing the technological barriers to create a consistent user experience across multiple platforms and screens so users can enjoy content seamlessly from one device to the next.”
Though Alien Dalvik 2.0 has been released, it will not be available to end-users just yet. Myriad will demo the capabilities of the technology at the CTIA Enterprise & Applications 2011 event next week.
