Google has confirmed it will host a hardware event on 9 October 2018.
The event will take place at 17:00 South African time, and the company is expected to reveal its Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones.
There have been multiple rumours posted online about what we can expect from the new devices, including sources stating the smartphones will run Android 9.0 out of the box.
Google is also set to unveil a new display design which features a notch, while processing power is expected to come from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip and 6GB of RAM.
The Pixel launch follows soon after Apple’s smartphone event, taking place on 12 September.
