New Microsoft Office for Android apps launched

Mobile applications for Word, Excel, and Powerpoint have appeared on Google Play, finally bringing Microsoft’s new mobile Office apps to Android users.
While the old Microsoft Office Mobile app remains available, the software giant has updated its description to state it has been replaced by the new applications.
The apps require at least Android 4.4.x “KitKat” or newer (with Android M not yet supported), and 1GB RAM or more.
To create and edit documents, you will need to sign in with a free Microsoft account.
“A qualifying Office 365 subscription is required to unlock the full Office experience,” said Microsoft.
“Office 365 is also required to create or edit on tablets with a screen larger than 10.1 inches.”
