Chromebooks set to receive Android apps
Google may soon give Chrome OS users access to Android apps in the Google Play Store, according to a report by The Verge.
The report stated that Chromebooks running version 51 of Chrome OS are showing a checkbox in their settings menu that reads: “Enable Android apps to run on your Chromebook.”
The Chrome OS source code shows that Chromebook users will soon get access to over a million apps from the Play Store, said the report.
The new feature may be revealed at Google’s I/O conference in May, according to The Verge.
