Slack gets built-in video calling
Slack has launched video calling in its messaging app.
The functionality of its calling feature has been extended to include one-to-one and group video calling. To use the feature, click the camera button from within a call.
Slack can also be used to make voice and video calls to third-party services such as Google Hangouts and Zoom.
As with normal Slack calls, video calling includes the emoji response feature.
“So without having to unmute, you can use a ✋ to ask a question, add a 👍 to show your approval, or 🙇 to thank people for a job well done. These reactions, along with a few others, will display briefly over your video and play a subtle sound,” said Slack.
