Entries are open for the 2017 Entelect Challenge, which boasts a total prize pool of R200,000.
The event will be based on the board game Battleships, and will be hosted at rAge 2017 in October.
Competitors must use their coding abilities to compete for the prize, and will be provided with a starter pack – which includes resources and sample programs.
“This year, we have introduced a mini playoffs series, a staggered strategy component, and a webinar series with hands-on tutorials,” said Entelect Challenge Team Lead Tomislav Ravić.
The prize money will be split among the mini playoffs and finals. The prizes for the finals are:
- First place – R70,000
- Second place – R35,000
- Third place – R25,000
Mini playoffs for the Entelect Challenge 2017 will begin on 9 June.
Competitors can enter on the Entelect website.
