Apple Files appears in App Store before big announcement
Apple has listed a placeholder for a new “Files” app in the App Store ahead of its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple Insider reported.
Few details were announced with the listing, but the report noted that the app’s icon was a blue folder – similar to those seen on macOS.
The listing revealed that its minimum requirements would be iOS 11 and support for 64-bit file structure.
According to the report, the appearance of the new Files app suggests that Apple may allow iPhone and iPad owners more access to the file systems on their devices.
