Google Docs experienced 30-minute downtime
Google Docs, which consist of an online word processor, spreadsheet application, presentation tool and drawing app, suffered downtime at around 11pm last night.
The downtime reportedly lasted 30 minutes affected all Google Docs users, though some with direct links to spreadsheet files could access the content.
The services refused to respond for the first 10 minutes before sporting an error page blaming the downtime on server issues.
Google’s enterprise group confirmed the outage with business customers, releasing the following statement: “We are aware of an issue involving Google Docs and are working now to resolve it as quickly as possible. We will be updating the Apps Status Dashboard regularly. We apologize for this inconvenience.”
