Free BlackBerry apps, first now available
RIM promised to provide customers affected by the three day BlackBerry outage earlier this month with access to premium apps free of charge and the first of these is now available.
iSpeech DriveSafe.ly Pro, which normally retails for $19.99 (R161.24) reads text messages and emails while you drive, and allows you to use voice commands to reply to text messages, replay a call, or initiate a call.
RIM has promised they will offer at least a dozen premium apps for free, including SIMS 3, Bejeweled, N.O.V.A., Texas Hold’em Poker 2, Bubble Bash 2, Photo Editor Ultimate, iSpeech Translator Pro, Drive Safe.ly Enterprise, Nobex Radio Premium, Shazam Encore, and Vlingo Plus: Virtual Assistant.
According to a statement by the company, the above apps “will become available over the next four weeks.”
