Google shows off upcoming Gmail redesign
The new Gmail user interface will make use of a theme very similar to Google+, according to a YouTube video demoing the new look and feel of the upcoming redesigned Gmail interface.
The new interface will automatically fit into any size window, and users have the ability to manually resize labels and chat windows found in the new Gmail.
“Interface density” can also be customised by the user, affecting the amount of whitespace on the page, and how the various components of the online mail client are laid out.
Various high resolution themes are also available to customise colours and backgrounds of various interface components.
A new conversation view interface that displays threaded emails and include a profile picture for each person taking part is also present.
