Stephen Hawking looking for techie assistant
World renowned physicist Stephen Hawking is looking for a technical assistant to aide him with day to day tasks, as well as repairing and improving the customised hardware found in Hawking’s motorised wheelchair.
The more mundane tasks include maintaining travel schedules and preparing lecture graphics, though the candidate must be able to “develop and maintain… Professor Hawking’s communication and speech systems.”
Applicants will be required to repair and service the systems without any guidelines or documentation, so high level knowledge of electronics as well as computer literacy are required.
The job hasn’t been officially posted yet, however prospective candidates are able to pre-submit their applications for filtering candidates for the final job posting.
