RIM giving Android developers free PlayBooks
Research In Motion (RIM) previewed the company’s BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 update at the Consumer Electronics Show last month which will bring with it support for Android applications.
The next step for RIM is to woo Android developers over, and they are hoping to do this with the promise of a free BlackBerry PlayBook.
But only for those who repackage their Android applications for the BlackBerry App world.
The announcement was made by Alec Saunders, RIM’s vice president of developer relations over Twitter yesterday evening.
Developers have until 13 February to submit their applications for approval, and can use the toolset provided by RIM here.
