Flipboard for Android available to all

Flipboard, the popular newsreader application previously only available for Apple iOS device, was supposed to launch on the Samsung Galaxy S III as a device-only exclusive for an unspecified time.

However, forum members at XDA-Developers have manager to extract the APK file from the unreleased high-end smartphone, and develop the app to be available to all Android devices.

The application reportedly runs perfectly on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, as well as older Samsung models such as the original Galaxy S smartphone.

The application also runs on Android devices made by other manufacturers, as well as a host of Android tablets.

The file is downloadable from the XDA-Developers forums.
