Google Nexus tablet details leaked
Search giant, Google will reportedly launch its own Nexus Android tablet at the I/O conference this week; however, full specifications of the device have already leaked online.
This is according to Gizmodo Australia, which acquired alleged “training documents” that reveal all of the device’s specifications.
According to the documents, the device will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is manufactured by hardware vendor, Asus. It will sport a 1.3 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, a 12-core GeForce graphics processor, and 1GB of RAM.
The display will feature an IPS panel with a 178 degree viewing angle, and a resolution of 1280 x 800.
There will also be a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front of the device – however, no rear-facing camera will be present.
Finally, the Nexus tablet will feature Near Field Communications (NFC) and Google wallet support, and will last 9 hours on a single charge.
The 8GB version of the device is expected to retail for $199, while the 16GB will cost $249.
