MWEB restructures

Rumours started emerging today that MWEB CEO Rudi Jansen is leaving the company for Naspers, but MWEB was quick to deny these rumours. 

“MWEB denies any rumour that Rudi Jansen is leaving the company. He remains the CEO of MWEB and is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the company,” the company said in an official statement.

MWEB confirmed a restructuring of the Internet Service Provider whereby a new sub-division, MWEB ISP, has been formed to manage the day to day running of the ISP. “Derek Hershaw, formerly GM of Operations, has been appointed as CEO of MWEB ISP under Rudi Jansen. This is purely to streamline the reporting process,” MWEB said.
