Neotel launches new cordless phone on R99 package
Neotel on Monday (16 May 2011) announced the launch of its new cordless home phone, which the company says will ‘revolutionize the home phone user’s experience’.
The ZTE-manufactured wireless CDMA device provides instant connectivity to the Neotel network, and supports both voice and SMS services.
It further boasts speaker phone functionality, has a built-in alarm and calculator, features a 96×96 LCD display and has 32 personalized polyphonic ring tones.
The new phone has a built-in battery with a talk time life of over 3 hours and a standby time of 120 hours.
One big advantage of the new wireless phone over Neotel’s previous desktop versions is that users can carry it with them in a geographic area (such as Johannesburg-011 or Pretoria-012) and use it wherever there is coverage.
“The launch of our cordless phone is a vital addition to our suite of affordable, competitive solutions for our customers,” said Mukul Sharma, general manager of Neotel’s Consumer Devision.
“We are placing emphasis on delivering greater flexibility, convenience and innovation while our focus remains on delivering affordable voice solutions to all South Africans,” said Sharma.
The new cordless home phone is available at a once off device fee of R399 on both the NeoConnect Lite Prepaid and NeoConnect Lite R99 packages, and can also be bundled with no up-front cost on a NeoConnect Lite R199 monthly package.
