The gist of the article is that the term "fossil fuels" is a deliberate attempt to deceive and make us believe that oil is finite. Oil didn't come from dead dinosaurs which certainly would make oil finite but is stored in virtually unlimited amount deep inside the earth and seeps to the surface due to tectonic activity.

"...Ever wonder why the Middle East has so much oil? Simple, a very active tectonic fault runs underneath the oil fields. Faults and fissures are how oil travels to the near surface from the mantle...."

"..Among Kurdryavtsev's colleagues was Professor V.A. Krayushkin, chair of the Dept. of Petroleum Exploration at the Ukranian Academy of Sciences and leader of the DneiperDonets Basin Exploration project in the Ukraine, an area that has yielded eleven giant oil fields holding at least 65 billion barrels of oil and some 100 billion cubic meters of recoverable gas, comparable to the North Slope of Alaska . The area had previously been designated as having no potential for petroleum production whatsoever. Exploration, according to a paper by Richard Heinberg, was conducted entirely according to the "perspective of the modern Russian Ukranian theory of abyssal, abiotic petroleum origins....".

the comments below are from the posters and it seems that abiotic/fossil debate has a direct bearing on YEC, evolution and age of the earth which has an obvious wider social and religious implication. The materialists who dominate the universities have forced their world view unto the rest of us.

"...The problem with "fossil" theory is that it violates the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Also known as the law of increasing entropy.
Low potential chemical energy molecules (organic detritus) doesn't trun or "cook" into high potential chemical energy molecules (hydrocarbons) in the low pressure and heat environment of the Earth's crust. There simply isn't enough energy to cause this "transformation."
Time does not matter -- there simply is or isn't enough energy to cause the chemical formation of hydrocarbons, and there isn't enough energy to do so.
On the other hand, the Earth's mantle does supply the energy necessary to cause hydrogen and carbon to combine into hydrocarbon, and the mantle supplies the energy by the ultra-high heat and pressure that is present at mantle depths in the Earth's interior.
The science supporting this proposition is substantial -- the Second Law of Thermodynamics has never been found to be violated, that's why it;s called a law of nature...."

"...You still have to believe in the Cool Earth theory of formation. Hydrogen and methane were gone under the prevailing theory that the Earth was molten at the beginning. That means the only hydrogen we find is in oil-NG fields since all hydrogen is new hydrogen. Do you believe in the Cool Earth theory?...."

well if we are going to use unlimited oil, we will have unlimited CO2 and we can't afford that.

We have dangerous levels of unlimited CO2 trapped in the cold of deep ocean waters. As these waters warm up then this CO2 may be released creating more heat thus the end of earth and human kind as we know it.

Main source of the supply of oil may not be from this world.

I'd like some of whatever the dude smoked when he wrote that.

if this biological theory were true, why is there no oil in the amazon?
Many desert used to be rainforests millions of years ago & vice versa. And since oil takes millions of years to form, current levels of vegetation are a very poor indication of oil deposits.

You get organic oil and mineral oil.
Both come from organic sources...as the article you posted explains in detail.

I'm surprised how open you guys are to the wacky theories of some Ukrainian nutcase.

Exactly. Oil is finite. Every resource is finite. We are not on top of some sea of oil. We all know how oil is formed zo there is no way on earth will there be infinite amount of oil

Ignorance is bliss
This thread should be in the science fiction section.

Probably why Hawaii have so much oil? oh wait that is just molten rock...
