DISGRUNTLED land-reform beneficiaries have invaded a farm near Malelane in Mpumalanga, ousting its managers and assuming control of the farm workers and the running of the farm.

Agribusiness Umlimi, which controls the joint-venture farm management company Makhombo for the Lugedlane community, has confirmed the land invasion, saying a group of people armed with knives and machetes arrived on Foroma last Thursday, threatened managers and seized control of the farm.

More greed and corruption :mad:. Not surprising that SA has gone from being a net exporter to a net importer of food.
It seems even when programs are set up to train and help manage re-distributed farms, things still mangage to end up being a bunfight

Yup, they are getting impatient with the rate at which crops grow! Lets go burn the mielies because they're not making money quick enough!
 
This morning on Morning live one of these idiots said that young people do not want to farm because it's poor people that farm....

But they wanted the farm because the big rich white man lived there.

I'm confused was it to much work? Or do they still believe we sat at home and everything was handed to us? Now they are preaching education? But they screwed up a very good system.

its unfortunate that they will always want free handouts - look at Zim, they took the farms and now what!!!
We see the same here with BEE, blacks want the jobs but dont want to be accountable (or work for that matter) - i know im generalising, but you get the picture.

Hehe, how does he not honestly know who the White man got rich in the first place? The land doesn't work itself - some of those farmers put in 18 hour days!

They did not want to work for the White baas but they do not want to work for the black baas either. Everybody wants to be the baas.
And the baas sits in his home and gets everything for nothing.:D

Most farmers went to school and uni to be what they were. You have to be a business person to run a farm. So a education higher than grade 8 is necessary. You are not a farmer if you only provide for your family. That would mean i'm a farmer too..

Too many chiefs, not enough indians?

If the government is going to "give back" working farms they must ensure the benefactors know how to run the farm (and not into the ground). Otherwise we will end up like Zimbabwe.

well unfortunately thats just wog mentality, and too work much for them.
i suppose by just hand it over they can get more votes = more power = Africanism!!!!

and he's arrogant to boot - remember the stories of him & tracy going (vuyo boasting about the higher rates he commands mc'ing functions)? well tracy going on the other was some sort of punching bag for her then husband.
