Hi there, we are headed to SA for a holiday and we need MTN settings to get our phones to work properly, I read the MTN wap guide on their website and it mentions something about Over the air, but with my phone being an overseas model, and being something out of China (ZTE) they branded it and entered all the settings for my current carrier here (Telecom Mobile) I don't think over the air would work, and I'm not going to risk it.

Could someone please upload the settings, it would be very helpful

Thanks

Put the MTN sim in your phone dial 555 I think activate it and all the settings will be sent to you phone OTA aka Over the AIR :p

Thanks Guys, that will come in useful, so even if the phone's from overseas and MTN have never heard of that model it will work? Becuase if there's a list of supported and unsupported mobiles, mine will definitely be unsupported.

Hi, thought I'd just post in this thread.

I recently switched to MTN after my last phone was stolen and am having trouble with the MMS settings. When someone sends me an MMS I get a message from MTN telling me to log onto www.mtn.co.za/mms with a code to get the MMS.

I want to know if there is any way to set up my phone (nokia 2700) to be able to accept them without having to connect to the site and put in a code.

I managed to get it setup on my old phone with CellC but am struggling with this one. Not sure if it's my phone, MTN or just me (hopefully just me :p)

-edit: haha, got it. Did the whole *123*12# thing. Didn't know the password at first though. It was 1234
