What do you guys think of this car? It goes for only R209,000, and has awesome specs... Looks great as well...

I saw quite a lot of them here in Korea.. Havn't read the specs, but it looks good :)
Hyundai/Kia is the world's 5th largest car company, I'd trust them haha

It is an awesome car! Hyundai has showed that it can make quality and be affordable. I have seen a few people trade in their ludicrously overpriced Volkswagens for cars made in Korea that People can afford. They are the new "Peoples Cars".

I think the car is awesome, haven;t drove the KOUP yet, but it looks great I have to admit! I think it looks awesome in RED! lol... might buy one in Australia, April :)

I am sure it will come close to the European styling and quality you get from Opel though. One of the designers working for Kia is an ex-Audi employee who got so bored doing little to no styling at all on VAGs that he decided to join the Koreans.

yep, but didnt mean it in a bad way
more and more cars are looking like each other
i think its a step in the right direction for kia
the coupe is quite a good looking car

/Revive.

Thoughts on the Cerato sedan?
It is a great looking sedan IMO and also very impressive features for the price.

R180k 91kw 1.6l ac, electric windows, electric mirrors, ipod mp3, front side and curtain airbags, ABS, fog lights etc.
R200k 114kw 2.0l full house, climate control, leather seats, cruise control, electric windows, electric mirrors, ipod mp3, front side and curtain airbags, ABS, fog lights etc.

Both with 4 year 90k km service plan and 5 year 100k km warranty.

Going to test drive one I reckon, thinking about getting one in April.

Really not a bad car at all. In fact its pretty damn impressive for Kia - they're stepping it up alot. I've heard though that the Chev Cruze is a serious contender. Check out http://www.driversa.co.za/?p=188

yeah the Chev Cruze looks awesome on the outside but feels like a Chev Spark inside...

Agreed. It's a really tough choice now between the Kia, Chev and Toyota.

sorry kia are proving just as reliable as toyota. much better looking than both the cruze and corolla.

service my kia the other day for the first time at kia.
Best service ever.

The lady said she work for few dealers and when something goes on a kia, they are not afraid to replace. ie, one chair motor goes, they replace whole chair.
read on their mechanic website, if a car comes back because some dude did not do his work, BIG trouble for that person.
It seems they do not work for government.

The Koreans are pushing the motorplan/service departments to try attract customers. And it seems to be working. Credit to them for impressive after sale service.

Went to the dealership today, only had the 1.6 on the showroom floor. All I can say is wow, stunning interior even on the entry level model completely in another class compared to its competitors. The salesman was very good to, offered to lend me the demo 2.0L for the weekend with full tank of petrol no strings attached.

Tha maintinance plan has also been upgraded to 5 yr 100Km.
