Interesting, but no never heard of it. Not all that useful with only a 384 option, but still a good deal if its legit.

Unshaped 384K is still pretty slow. So it's possible or it could depend on their definition of 'shaping'.

yes i am 384 and i just canceled with afrihost because of their shaping policy.so let hear about that more:)i think i will get it:)

Very dicey, I would love to hear from someone who uses them. I mean, MWEB are charging R499 for the same thing, no? (http://www.mweb.co.za/adsl/?p=business)
It seems unlikely they could offer unshaped at that price, particullarly seen they are such an unknown name.

If it were legit I'd consider getting it just for gaming though...

384 for is very good enough for me.i am using rapidshare and afrihost allows me just 1-5 kb/s i asked them they said to me rapidshare is not business usage so rapidshare will be shaped:)if wazzup is real then i can download 35-40 kb/s which is very good enough for me:)
here is the their face book.looks like company paarl based:)

You do know that internet across the board has been near dead since last weekend right? There is a cable fault somewhere near Italy, and as such most of Africa, south east asia and the middle east are suffering to some extent.

I think you're missing the point of this topic? :/

yep i now this is not seacom problem.afrihost has terrible shaping policy.i downloaded 35gb this month according to their shaping policy they moved me LEVEL2.that means they will shape my download port which included rapidshare.so i have to change my ISP.i must find nice isp who does not shape rapidshare.so it might be wazzup:)

Just checking the site, it somewhat scares me. Very primative.
When you click "order" for the R159 account you are only allowed to pay for the joint amount with the Telkom line - there is no option for the R159 afterwards.
Furthermore, on the payment page they have various links for payment methods but none of them work.

I would not trust them at this point in time.
They seem to have accounts that have "xxx@adslaccess" (http://mycontrol.cyberdale.co.za/), is this a resell of someone known?

Good was just checking to make sure that your dissatisfaction with AH wasn't as a result of the recent cable issue.

You know they could be reselling Neology/neoinx Bandwidth. Cause Neology/Neoinx uncapped is cheap and hardly shaped. Sainet sells Neology/Neoinx for R199. So It might be that.... If it is then the claims on the website are indeed accurate.

It would explain why there is only 384k offering cause Neology/Neoinx only sells 384k Uncapped internet....

EDIT: I must add that their adsl lines are the cheapest so far.

http://wazzup.co.za/lines_adsl.html

R49 cheaper per month than Telkom. That is like 1-2GB of bandwidth there.

I am gving them one month and see how they turn out, lets see if they can take the heat of SA's ADSL kitchen, some ISPs have been burnt already, but survived :)

I just phoned them now - you cannot just take the R159 option - your ADSL line must also be through them - thus R295 per month.
A bit sneaky if you ask me - according to their site you can order the R159 option(why have a "order now R159" button on your website if you cannot order it like that ?
I'll skip them for now - seems a bit dishonest to me !

Hi Phenie

Our business is called CyberDale xSP and we've been around since the 90's. We mostly serve small to medium sized businesses, and to a small degree some multinational corporate clients too. We recently launched a Retail Service division called WazzupGeeks, which provides computer support & repair services in the Western Cape and now more recently followed with our product range called Wazzup Internet.

CyberDale xSP has not changed its name and will continue to be providing all services for our brands... closest example I can think of is like MWeb with their Polka brand (don't know if they still own it - so don't quote me on this)

If you have any questions, you are welcome to give us a call, and ask for Andre and I hope to answer your questions personally. (Sorry I can't say this in another way, but we're a bit busy at the moment ;-)

Hopefully you'll decide to join us, otherwise thanks for the mention anyway.

Andre@WazzupInternet

WazzupInternet is a brand of CyberDale xSP. (As I replied elsewhere: CyberDale xSP has not changed its name and will continue to be providing all services for our brands... )

We do not do any shaping. Shaping is a horrible practice and cheats the customer by labeling a product as being faster than the ISP intends to serve. Shame on those that serve slow internet.

Instead of shaping, we will rather limit our rate of signups, as to not have to resort to shaping to try and provide an "acceptable user experience". So without saying it too loudly, but you should join us quickly, lest you'd find we've decided we have enough happy uncapped users for the time being ;-)

That makes no mention of why you advertise a all inclusive line package and a adsl only package, but only really allow the one.

Can you get ADSL infrastructure from anyone else? Its all Telkom as far as I know, or Telkom wholesale in this case. The only differentiation is where the bandwidth gets plugged into the Telkom ADSL infrastructure. There may not be a difference to what the subscriber sees connected to their home, however there is a difference for the ISP. WazzupInternet is currently only accepting circuit (ADSL line) transfers. The lower price should make this an easy decision.
