Hi all,

Unfortunately, my MWeb ADSL account is now superfluous to my requirements, so I'm looking to cancel it - problem is, I've been hunting in the My Account section for the magic "cancel" button, but can't seem to find it. Is it lurking in there where I haven't noticed, or am I missing something here?

you'll have to email or call them. They'll ignore you the first time so make sure you call again to make sure it's been cancelled.

I had to phone MWeb 5 times and sent about 12 cancellation emails before they cancelled my ADSL - Just bug the crap out of them.

I also read about a guy complaining in the newspapers about MWeb not cancelling his account.

I think this is very useful information, and user experience trumps any SOP given by the ISP--so yes, the thread is very much welcome imho.

thanx for the info...think I'll cancel (or at least try to) my MWEB account and try out Axxess' uncapped express next month.

I wish the service providers had like a "try before you buy" package, giving you say 500mb and 1 day so you can try out their service, to see if it is what you really want...instead of paying for the whole month's usage, and then ending up like me where MWEB just doesn't meet my requirements

The only problem : The 500MB and 1 day you get will be the best account you''ll get out there and then you sign up!!!! Then you get the real service and issues.
