hi i heard that all i need is the firmware but seems like it doesnt exsist anywhere on the net... any ideas?

Nothing on the Billion site, can't even find a driver for this custom peace of junk that they sell ...
Need a driver, CD got scratched on the way here.

Big Black box blues ... MWEB sure sucks for implementing this. All that needs to be changed is a VCI setting on your modem that they dont allow you to change.

Seriously being screwed by MWEB ... dammit!

Firmware won't be found on the CD, however software will. Dont think there is a way to overwrite mweb's firmware on that router. Just go buy a new one :)

Nope the firmware wont be on the CD but if I can telnet into the router it could help.

No one has ever heard of a W40 ... I'm thinking its a 7300 or lower end model and they wont disclose what model it is or where to get additional drivers for it nor firmware.

U will be amazed at what I can do .... hehe. Not my first firmware upgrade / port you know :-)

put the router in bridge mode and then use your Pc to dial the PPPOE connection

thats what i would like to do.... thats why i need to get the mweb default firmware off the router, so that i can put the router in bridge mode
