SC2 MyBB 1v1 Competition

Well, I got my a$$ well and truly kicked my someone on the net last night - shows me just how much more I need to practise. If anyone is on later tonight and picks me up, bump me for an easy win.
 
Well AfricanTech (Gryphon) and I had an epic 90min game last night which he won! Game 2 on tonight!

EPIC - Now that’s the kinda game I enjoy. Reminds me of SC1, unlike most of the SC2 games which last only a few minutes because of all the rushes.
 
OK, so need to ask a maybe dumb question about how the multiplayer match ups work…
Let’s say I’m online and want to play a match against any of the group 1 players who are available & online. Is there any way to do this other than to set them up as a friend which shows whether they are online and free? How do you guys arrange the match ups?
 
Oh crap, sorry I didnt get around to any of my games in this past week, Anyone from group 1 want to play tonight?

Combo - I setup my match via the forum here (advertise generally free times) - then when online, chat and agree with someone from your group to play - create a custom game - choose map and invite your opponent...and then HAVE FUN.
 
Is anyone in Group 2 keen for a game tonight, say just after 9?


I'm getting a bit de-moralized by the online multiplayer.. :( Getting my arse whipped way more than any wins. I hope I play against someone that sucks as much as me next :D

Tooken, I may already have a game on tonight, otherwise we should have a game sometine soon. I was ranked 96th of Bronze league, so no-one can get much worse than that! :-)
I did manage to claw my way up to 37th though (woohoo).

I know that feeling - I've been whipped a couple of times now.

Hmm - 9 is too early for me - still in family/spouse timezone - after 10 I may be up to a game - I'll check in to see if you are available - so it's a tentative arrangement - if you pickup another game in the meanwhile , that's cool too.

Bah! I was looking to install Mint on my main PC last night and managed to fusk up my primary boot partition - so I'm out of commission until I fix the mess!

I'll be on between 7 and 8 this evening for anyone in my group who wants to play me. Nick = Cloud ; CC = 844 . /w me and lets do it
 
Hey guys - offtopic(ish)...

Is there a central SC2 site in RSA? Somewhere central where these kinds of tournaments etc can be organized?

Also, on sc2ranks.com a South African League can be created. It uses the ladder data to compile league standings etc.

I kinda feel that the SC2 scene in SA needs a wee bit more exposure, and most sites I could find have been dead since beginning August...
