AMD joins MeeGo project

Where are all the iOS and Android and Blackberry and WinPho and Bada and WebOS fanboys now????
 
My goodness Rouxenator won't know what to do with himself. Imagine a Nokia with an AMD chip running MeeGo. :p
 
have intel and amd ever worked together on anything?
or is the nature of this relationship more from a vendor support than code contribution p.o.v.?

It has mostly been a case of intel stealing AMD stuff but yes, they have worked together quite well. How do you think AMD got into the x86 business? It was because of intel needing a 2nd supplier for their x86 technology in order to get the deal from IBM.

So they can work together if they must.

Nokia and AMD has also worked together, remember the old Nokia 9000 communicator? It ran on an AMD 486 CPU.

I think this is a good move because now MeeGo will get a lot more traction. After all, we have the gods (and devil) of the industry on this one so it can only be good ;)

No time for posers like the iPhonies, Rasberries and Andandandandroids.
 
Wow this is great news, i was hoping they would join Meego, i wonder how this will run on the new amd cpus with integrated gfx
