K-Lite Codec Pack

So VLC will play pretty much everything, but it does have some interface shortcomings. The KL Codec Pack comes with the stalwart Media Player Classic (MPC) and depending on the version you download, it is quite possibly crammed with just a few more video codecs than VLC. 32-bit and 64-bit MPC and codecs are on offer.

Most free codec packs are dodgy, my pet peeve being K-Lite. Rather go for something like Ffdshow tryouts: http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/

what player does CCCP use ... been with K-Lite for as long as i can remember VLC just seemed to suck for me

Mumble... it is a Decent App, But to get the server side up and running for a Lan event can sometimes be tricky... TS2 and TS3 works great and is quite easy to setup(client and server side)... Ye, there is a few cool features with Mumble like you can see who is talking to you ingame. But then you can also see who is talking to you if you have sireal app for your G15 key board, (as far as i know sireal works on all the Logitech devices that has a screen.)

Nice to see Media Monkey getting some love. It always comes down to personal preference, but it has a long developmnet history. Does what it says it does and does it well.

Both CCCP & K-Lite are codec packs. They can be used by any media player.
