This unit is ideal for use as a secondary TV in a bedroom, or perhaps attached to something like a media centre PC.

This is a mid-sized LCD HDTV. It is perfectly adequate for use as a main TV in a small- or medium-sized lounge, but it also accepts PC video inputs, so can be hooked up as a secondary display for a PC. However, make no mistake: you will not want to use it as part of your desktop – the image is optimised for viewing video, not for working with text or such, so text can be fuzzy at times, and the colours are a bit too vivid for desktop work, but ideal for enjoying movies and the like.

For the same reason, it is also ideal for use with a media centre PC. In addition to the DVI input, this TV also supports a wealth of other inputs, including VGA, HDMI (two inputs, so you can have a high-definition PVR and a console connected at the same time, for example), component, composite AV (RCA), and RF TV antenna. Sound input can be via 3.5mm stereo jack or RCA connectors (when using the AV connectors or component video).

The sound output is adequate, but nothing spectacular, offering limited volume and even more limited frequency range. These days, you really should be installing separate speakers in any home theatre sort of setup. The remote control is very comprehensive, well built, and feels good in the hand, providing easy access to all functions
