I am not sure if there is a thread like this and if there is, why isn't it stickied? I did try to search for it.
Anywho, it's not every day that someone thanks Iburst, but I just have to today.
My Boss was struggling to access the company VPN for a couple of weeks now and he blamed our network for it. BTW, he is using MTN 3G. The more I tell hom that it is the poor signal and him connecting on GPRS, the less he wanted to know.
So, yesterday I told him that we had to go to his home so that I could do a couple of tests.
He stays in craighall: MTN = useless, VC = useless, unless you go outside and CellC (you never know) = also useless. So I told him that I will bring my Iburst modem to work today and then we go and test with it. I know, looooooooooong shot, but I had nothing to loose.
Low and behold, 90% signal and it works beautifully. No omni, wasn't outside, I just connected it at his table where he normally sits... So I told him to phone Iburst when he is at his home in CPT and let them test the signal there, just hope they don't disappoint me then.
For once I can suggest Iburst over 3G to a mobile user.
Thanx
