Maybe you haven’t noticed the invitation at the top left of your old Facebook page, but the phased design of a new interface for the very popular www.facebook.com has been pushed a bit further. The design feels a little odd and will probably take some getting used to with some classic profile features neatly tucked away and finally accessible in more intuitive ways. They do take some getting used to purely because of habit.The bonus is however that the cluttered walls and crud now seems solved.
The application bar has moved but I assume there is some functionality to tweak it for those who want it someplace else. The lines are slicker and the site doesn’t appear as stocky as it used to, which is a another big bonus.
It feels a little quicker too, but from a first impression point of view I must say, I am pleasantly surprised and also impressed. Nice work.
