Rumours are rife regarding all things Apple after Apple announced that they would no longer be attending/supporting MacWorld expos.

Although the first batch of responses were that Apple had gotten themselves into trouble, they do seem to have a legitimate reason for backing out. Firstly, Apple has grown formidably over the last few years and feel that they no longer need to gather their fans and stir them up at events like these and secondly, they have put unwanted pressure on themselves to bring out the next big thing [as this is the trend that they have set] at the next event.

Additional news came through with this announcement and this is what seemed to set investors on a selling spree, and that is that Steve Jobs will not be giving the final keynote address at the next MacWorld expo. Investors fear that Steve Jobs’ health may have deteriorated once more, and since he is seen as the brains behind Apple’s success, this is something of genuine concern.

Time will tell as to what is rumour and what is truth, but it is a combination of news that Apple could have done without.
