Apple’s MobileMe iDisk application for iPhone, which has been listed as a forthcoming feature since Apple revamped its iPhone feature pages following its Worldwide Developers Conference in early June, is now available for download from the App Store.
With MobileMe iDisk [free from the app store], you can share and view the files from your iDisk right from your iPhone or iPod Touch! Login with your MobileMe username and password and you’ll see the list of the folders and files on your iDisk. Select a file to view it on your phone, or if you’d like to share it with someone else or transfer it to another computer, just tap the share icon, choose your recipients, and MobileMe iDisk will send a short email with a link to download your file directly from MobileMe. If you’d like, you can assign a password to keep your files secure and even limit the number of days the download will be available for, all right from your iPhone.
The only catch is that it requires a MobileMe subscription, something every true blue mac user will already have. If not, you are able for a free 60 day trial at apple.com/mobileme.
