I got a Seagate 320 GB portable Hard Drive which also developed some problems. Had to send it over to the Netherlands to their Warranty repairs office cause i didn't buy it in SA and also no returns office in SA. Process is pretty painless, just go to their website and create an RMA, all the details will be explained to you on their website. Their turnaround time is about two to three days for warranties, they send you a new hard drive instead of repairing your old one. If your Hard Drive is still under warranty (You can check this on their website) they will return your new Hard Drive(s) to you free of charge via DHL airmail within about a week of them receiving it. By the way, if you choose to ship/send your Hard Drive to them (Which you have to pay for), make sure that you choose Airmail (ETA 1 week) and not Surface Mail(ETA 6-9 Weeks) (To send via Airmail with SAPO costs roughly R180 - R200 depending on weight of shipment). Hope this helps!! PM me if you need more details!!
