PIONEER, ONKYO OR YAMAHA HD AUDIO AMPS

Hi all,

Would like to get upgrade to a 5.1 HD audio receiver.
Any pros or cons on any of the above amps?
Theres the Pioneer 520, Onkyo 308 and Yamaha 467

I own an Onkyo 606 which if I had the choice would reverse a bus over it! The video controller seems to be dying with first RCA switching becoming problematic and now HDMI giving HDCP issues. So my advice, write-off Onkyo and consider adding Sony and Denon to the list.
 
I have had 3 Home Theatre amps, and all have been Yamaha. I replaced them because of new features, like HDMI with latest one.
My original is still running at my brother's house after 15 years.
 
My NAD amp, tape deck, turn table and AR Speakers are still working 100% after 25 years. The NAD cd player (15 years) and NAD DVD player (10 years) are still going strong. Did I mention I like NAD?
