Master keys... ooooh boy... Sony will be unable to patch these, they are like MAC addresses and allows hackers to gain the SAME executable access that Sony ITSELF has. Thanks to a kid named geohot for the exploit and team fail0verflow for developing and releasing a dev kit. This is very very big news.

Can I finally play Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball off my hard drive instead of buying it for R100 from BTgames?!
No, not as of yet anyway, Geohot specifically designed his CFW without the ability to load Blu Ray backups. It has to be said though that Castlevania: Lord of Shadow has been ripped to play, its 11 gigs though, so screw downloading it. There is more development going into this right now than the Nasa Moon Landing so expect to be able to run all your games off drive soon.
Can I run oldschool games like mario and sonic?
Yes, yes you can! Homebrew like Snes9x 4.4.1 can be executed to run under the Gehot CFW, ive tested myself and games like Mario Allstars run perfectly! Emulators are available at present because people were busy developing for the Jailbreak mod (R1000000 USB dongle) which allowed execution of pkg files.
Can I go online with Geohot's CFW?
For everyone who’s asking the question: “Will I get banned from PSN for using these hacks?” Well in theory, as EuroGamer puts it, yeah … probably. Sony’s been playing nice so far, releasing only mandatory firmware updates that revoke PSN access, and now said updates will only slow the hardcores down, because as you and I both know the PS3 is owned at the hardware level — we saw it happen on the PSP and Sony is reliving the nightmare on the PS3. So when will the +b’s kick in? It’s only a matter of time I guess. There’ve been no ban reports yet, but if/when that happens we’ll let you know. And you should know: your PS3, no matter what, if it’s connected to an Internet jack, it’s transmitting data from/to Sony. It’s always a bad idea to keep your hacked PS3 Internet connected.

But DarkM@st3r_666 has developed his own CFW should'nt I use his instead?
I have trouble keeping my various papers organized, the quickest way to keep them all tidy would be to download and install CFW from some random bra on the internet! Please guys, dont brick your PS3s.

Dude the system is blown OPEN you can run NTFS support if you want to via CFW.
