Hi guys

Has anyone tried any of the CFWs for PS3? I tried Kmeaw release. Installed MultiMan v1.13. Being a newbie to this i think i might have messed something up as my blu ray movie on disc didnt play after CFW install.

I Restored OFW 3.55 and all was back as normal.....

I might give it a go again but i havent found any tutorials online on how to seamlessly get everything up and running....

I've read that modifying the PS3 does have this drawback.

There was a link floating around where you could D/L any of the FW Updates, anyone still have that? Looking for the Official 3.55 Firmware .

Update to the new version of multiman (1.13.4). Because the first release of 1.13 contained and integrated the LV2 kmeaw payload, i.e. it ran when you ran multiman, it affected Blu-Ray after it's first run (current bug in the payload used)

The latest version disables this feature allowing you to use the kmeaw payload application separately and only when you want to run a game backup, but this entails doing so before you launch multiman and the payload will persist until you reset the PS3 (i.e. after playing a backup you will need to reset before playing a Blu-Ray)

Jailbreaking your PS3 is not so that you can play pirate games....its so that you can get the most out of your media station....PS3 is so much more than just gaming....
well for me anyways.....i hardly play games....i use it more as a media station.

NTFS, MKV support on CFW would be awesome....hope guys at homebrew brew up something...

thanks for advice @Iwojima
will try it out!
