Hello

I have a Samsung ps50c550 plasma TV that was purchased last July ...

It has recently been giving me hassles as the below video clip shows:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZOSVI64Kho

On turning on the TV it doesn't display the input source correctly - instead showing a distorted almost white / inverted type picture. Switching between inputs doesn't help. I usually need to restart the TV a few times before it
'takes' the input change and then displays the picture as per normal ...

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

Yeah definitely faulty. Where'd you buy it from? Maybe they will even collect it from you. Must be a pain to transport!

You can log it with the store you bought it from, or send an error mail on Samsung website. They will most probably switch out the internal boards first, and then if that still doesn't work they will replace the whole set. Just do it before your warranty becomes an issue. Perhaps a good idea is to do both.

Just read Samsung's warranty and it's states that Samsung will carry on-site (home) service on your TV, if it can't be fixed at your home then Samsung will take it and fix and return it.

Thats is quality!

Other than the box looking like a dogs breakfast, what is wrong with the unit itself?

Those pics dont really show anything obviously wrong? Are you referring to the way the packaged it?

As per the post ... The outer frame of the TV is now littered with scratches ( indicated by all the stickers ) One does not expect to have your tv treated like garbage and returned to you in a worse state than when it left.

Just a follow-up ... the motherboard for this unit was replaced in Feb 2011 ... it has failed AGAIN ... this will now be the 3rd motherboard installed in this unit! Be very wary of Samsung and their warranties.
