ASUS Eee Pad transformer

Ok here is a fun one, Just rooted my friend's TF300T that he bought at Best Buy for $300 using http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSTf6ZY4NGo

Before root, market was normal SA one, now after the root + Unlock it has full US market access using SA CC to boot. (Bought a Magazine to confirm)

Edit: HA HA, there is a down side to this. Some Apps not available in the the US Market, like VLC

I love my Tf101 but may need to pass it on to "needy" family members. Is now a good time to upgrade or do I wait for a few months for more exciting products to launch? I was looking at the Prime if I indeed to upgrade now.

wait for the nexus 7 version 2

Nexus 10

But i always say this - i wish it had 3G.

just looked at it...no expandable storage :( a must for me.

I don't need 3G at all BTW

to be honest, i have a tf101 transformer and asus have not been good with all the tablets that came after , from gps issues to random reboots and stuff. i guess i was put off, im not sure if they have fixed those issues upto now tho, thats why i said the xperia tablet,
you like the xperia over the Infinity/Prime?

You guys are talking about the Xperia Z tablet right? I wonder how much it will sell for locally.

Has anyone else had a problem with ''DMClient failures" on rebooting Transformer TF101G?
Also, I'm struggling to copy files to the external SD card by just plugging in the USB and using it as an externla drive.

Any suggestions?

Nope. But see here:
I called support. The fix is as follows: Select in order: Settings > Applications > All. Find DMClient and select it. Click on Clear Data. Click on Force Stop. Shut the TF101 down then restart. This solved the problem for me.

Not sure what you mean?

Thanks for the link on the DMClient issue!

When I connect the tab to my PC via the cable and open the external SD in windows explorer I can no longer (since last saturday) copy files directly onto the SD card. It throws up an error message and asks if I want to stop copying or skip the file.
I'll try post a screen shot tonight.

Tried installing ASUS Sync on my PC but the program can't see the tab and vice versa.

It's not a huge issue at the moment as I'm currently just removing the SD and putting it into a card reader to transfer files. But I'd still like to know what's wrong.

Are you able to copy the same file to the internal storage?

Haven't tried that yet, will give it a bash tonight. Thanks again.
I can however delete files off the SD. Just not copy to it

I suspect it to be media files? mp3/mkv/mp4

Normally associated with Windows MTP. and if true must be because something changed on your PC (New drivers, update or something like that) There is a workaround but I guess its to much work, simply rename the extension to something none-media related like .txr and renaming it back on the device.

I had this problem some time back, ever since changed over to Samba for file copy to and from my device, just a small catch, USB is faster than Wi-Fi for file copy.
