Why people still bother with Inferior Explorer is beyond me, the alternatives have so much more to offer.

Why is it that the statistics from NetApplications, Stat Counter, and W3Counter differ by such a large margin? Surely there must be a way to accurately measure.

Well done to Chrome! Just shows that simplicity and speed wins.

Most of these people just use whichever browser is on their machines! They don't even know that their are alternatives which are better. Even if they do have knowledge of alternatives they just believe that IE is better and safer etc. because its made by Microsoft!

If I do that my mom scolds me for "deleting the internet". So now I remove IE, install Firefox and change the icon to IE.

I once did that with the entire OS - installed Linux with a Windows theme and my parents had no clue :D

yes. like 20 light years ahead Chrome 11 Beta with Voice Recognition and experimental WebGL. People are gonna be playing Crysis V in their browsers and some hobnob in Candahoe will still be rocking IE6.

Whilst I agree... we are all different and I guess there are some that are stick in a rut

For me... it's FF4 and I am loving it :D

Was a big fan of Chrome, but they still haven't resolved their Flash issues. Been using Firefox 4 lately and getting to like it... a lot.

Has anyone tried IE9 yet? I would be interested to see those stats with versions. I think Microsoft have made some huge improvements with IE9 however I am still a devoted Chrome user :)

I'm sure there are a lot of people like me, browsing at work and not allowed to install any software, so I'm stuck with IE. At least where I am now keeps everything up to date and I'm using IE8, where I was previously, we were still running Win XP and IE6!!!!

At home, the wife will only ever use IE, I use FF4.

At home and work it's Chrome where possible. But, yes, they should fix the flash issue.

FF4 also buggy wrt video, but still a better ecosystem than Chrome. Interesting how Opera has never managed to break through, despite being such an early entrant and having multi-platform products.

Same here where I work - only IE on the work laptops, can't install other browser software. :(
