8.ta internet settings for HTC Tattoo please

Hi All

Need the 8.ta internet settings for my HTC Tattoo, the settings on MyBB don't work also when I SMS to 185: handset not recognized

It would be appreciated if someone could assist/help me with the correct settings.

If its any help, I know that 8.ta uses the MTN network, maybe try their settings ? Not sure if it will work but there's no harm in trying

Did'nt work.

I heard that one need to add APN, Proxy, Port Number, IP address however I don't have these, guess I'll just call the HelpDesk later today.

Will post it here once I have the details.

@tiekie: was there not a page in the handset's box with the settings on it? I remember it being in mine. Cannot find the box!!

@MickeyD: This is the only info regarding APN setup...

1. Press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings.
2. Tap Wireless controls > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
3. On the APNs screen, press MENU and then tap New APN.
4. In the Edit access point screen, enter the APN settings. Tap the APN setting item to edit it.
5. Press MENU and then tap Save to save the settings to your phone.

No. In my box there were very specific settings for the HTC. I don't use it as I have an x10...

Try these MMS and internet settings (no promise that it will work!):

Configure Internet
1) On the home screen select the button and then select Settings
2) Select Wireless & Networks
3) Select Mobile networks
4) Select Access Point Names
5) Select the Menu key and select New APN
6) Enter the following parameters:
7) Name: 8ta Internet
8) APN: internet
9) Proxy: <Not Set>
10) Port: <Not Set>
11) Username: <Not Set>
12) Password: <Not Set>
13) Server: <Not Set>
14) MMSC: <Not Set>
15) MMS Proxy: <Not Set>
16) MMS Port: <Not Set>
17) MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
18) MCC: 655
19) MNC: 02
20) Authentication Type: PAP
21) Type APN: default
22) Select the Menu key and select Save

Switch on Data roaming
1) On the home screen select the button and then select Settings
2) Select Wireless & Networks
3) Select Mobile networks
4) Select Data roaming
Please note: Data roaming must be enable so that the Internet can work.

Configure MMS
1) On the home screen select the button and then select Settings
2) Select Wireless & Networks
3) Select Mobile networks
4) Select Access Point Names
5) Select the Menu key and select New APN
6) Enter the following parameters:

8) APN: mms
9) Proxy: <Not Set>
