Which Android apps would you buy, if you could buy Android apps?

Everyone complains about the lack of the paid Android Market in SA. Aside from the principle of the thing (Nokia, Blackberry and iPhone users are all able to buy apps in SA, in some cases through carrier billing, so why not Android users?), I was wondering which are the paid apps that you guys feel you're missing out on.

Android has an excellent selection of free apps - by some accounts, the selection of free apps in Android is larger and of a higher quality than the selection of free apps on iOS. (Paid apps are, of course, another story.) But even so, there are some paid apps I would like to own. Perhaps once paid apps become available in SA, hopefully in the coming months, this thread will serve as a useful record of good apps to buy:

1. Vignette (R27,49): The stock camera app in Android is terrible. I'm currently using the free edition of Camera 360 as an alternative, but I've become increasingly annoyed with the quirks in its interface. Vignette has excellent reviews, but the free version is limited to 640x480 and is basically useless as a result. When South Africa eventually gets paid apps in the Market, this will probably be the first thing I buy.

2. Co-Pilot Live South Africa (R303.46). This would be an expensive purchase, and it requires a some sort of car mount to actually be useful, which I've never really seen for the Desire. So I'm still thinking about it. But if I do buy this, I would prefer to do so through the Android Market than through CoPilot's website.

3. LauncherPro Plus (R23.41). I'm not sure I would even use the Sense-style widgets in LauncherPro Plus, which is the main feature that differentiates the paid from the free version. But I would happily pay for this app anyway, if only to show my appreciation to the developer of the one the best, most useful apps ever released for Android.

4. Tower Raiders 2 Gold (R33.47). One of the most addictive games on Android, in my opinion. I've played the free version obsessively, and now I want the additional levels!

I already have Co-Pilot and Launcher Pro Plus. (Both Paid for)
I would regret buying launcher pro plus as i find Go Launcher to be way more superior for my needs.

Co-Pilot is alright but i find that Google maps has a quicker and more accurate GPS lock that i get with Co-Pilot.

Can't you contact the developers directly and get the apps that way?

Sorry! Couldn't resist lol.

LoL!

I just want to get apps from Nvidia TegraZone now but seems SA is not support yet (including the free apps).

I have 3 applications using this route, the only problem is I don't have access to updates.

All the games I got from gameloft do update but some of them needs you to be online to play.

I would have preferred to get them via the market but not planning to root my DHD soon.

None, cheaper to pirate and seeing as I couldn't just buy them before I've learnt how...

I am also using camera 360 free edition on both my SGS and 10.1v Tablet (however not optimised for it) and so far I have been happy with it on my mobile. I have no experience with Vignette but at that price I would be willing to pay for it. Better stock camera apps should be the norm IMO. I like being able to take nice pictures just as much as the next fellow so a good app with great effects is definately a no brainer for me.

Agree, it's annoying to say the least that they have a camera with poor app. It's elimentary IMO.

Does it work is the q. I used to just use wifi / 3g switcher and flip it on and off manually.

launcher pro plus, spb shell 3d( i bought it using market access), pro hdr camera(bought also with market access)

Lab88 sell very sturdy HTC-branded universal windscreen mounts. Been using CoPilot as my only satnav since getting my HTC Desire. No complaints.

Ah yes, thanks for reminding me. I've been wanting to get an automated task manager to control stuff like WiFi and mobile data, and the free alternatives like Profile Valet don't quite seem up to the job. It seems like the two main alternatives in this area are:

Locale (R67.16)
Tasker (R43.99)

Another app I would like to get is the full version of Tapatalk (R19.90). Unlike the free version, it allows to post as well as read. Seems like a pretty good deal, given how frequently I use this app.

Everything I want I already bought, so there is no "what if" or "if you could".

Care to share your suggestions anyway for the benefit of people who aren't rooted or don't want to use Market Enabler?

Something I noticed on Engadget, amidst the flurry of news from the Google I/O:

In other Android Market news, Google has also announced that it will be adding support for larger apps -- up to 4GB -- in June, and it will be giving developers the ability to exclude specific devices to avoid compatibility problems, or make multiple versions of an app available under a single Market listing, complete with aggregated ratings and stats. All that, plus personalized recommendations based on your apps (details on it are still a bit light), and paid app support for an additional 99 countries (coming within the next week or so).

Paid apps coming within a matter of weeks? Hell yes!

By the way, I'm totally going to buy Air Attack. Only R19.77!
