WantItAll online discount e-mail battle

Even with a 10% discount & free delivery, Wantitall is eye wateringly expensive, hell even a 20% discount wouldn't tempt me.
 
I just looked at an item that is R2800 on wantitall, googled the description, on Amazon.com its identical and its $139. Yep, around R1000.

I lolled.

You can't have this sort of confusion running around with retails.

Pretty soon you'll will get the extremists jumping on, if the ASA let this go. e.g.

Thanks for the complaint, I also just received a similar email from them, but anybody buying from wantitall must be totally mad - they are by far the most expensive online shop.
 
The ASA ruled that a reasonable person would never want to shop at wantitall because of their ridiculous prices.
 
they are very expensive!
a few months ago i visited their site, looking for a 50 disc DVD spindle, it was R459!!

i just went to Kalahari and bought it for R137.
 
I've bought twice from wantitall, the 1st was Left 4 Dead 2 (i used ebucks 2 pay) and that took 1 month 2 deliver. 2nd was a laptop charger I couldnt find anywhere else for my VAiO and that also took 1 month to deliver.. I will never buy a thing from them again.. and on the laptop charger i used one of those promo codes and was also capped on the discount.. cos when I punched the digests in a calculator .. my sums was way different than what their shopping cart was telling me.. went back to the mail and oh, I see.. there is a discount cap.. how retarded.
 
I also agree with "WantItAll are by far the most expensive online shop".

I find about everything on there website cheaper on other online shop websites that also imports from America and other places

Agreed but they only beat others by importing some exotic (not really exotic but dont know what to call these) items not sold by others locally. They really shine by importing items not sold to ZA via amazon. etc.
 
Every now and then when Amazon run really good specials then it makes sense to buy from them, otherwise as stated they are crazy expensive. I bought a couple of watches a few months ago, and they we easily 30% cheaper than anything that I could find locally, but like I say, amazon were running a seriously good special on them
 
bwahahaha wow that needs to be on a demotivational poster or a master card advert.
