Credit check on tenant

Hey guys, how do I go about doing a credit check on a prospective tenant. I have his permission, his full name and his ID number. Is it as simple as contacting a credit bureau or is there something more complex involved?

TPN are fine, but I would recommend http://www.rentmaster.co.za/

Credit vetting, rent insurance and collection at a reasonable fee they take the risk out of letting.
