New Civic has FINALLY been revealed!

Man, I've been burning with anticipation for the final unveiling of the Euro-spec Honda Civic, due early next year (hopefully).

Seems like Honda took an evolutionary design this time, rather than the revolutionary design of the current model. Still looks good, imho... :D

Mmmmmmm, still in 2 minds about this one... Still love it, just cause it's a HONDA!!!!
 
I think the old shape and style is better :/
And why did they have to turn the steering wheel into a gamepad?
 
I like the fact that the design seems more coherent this time around and the back-end seems less bulbous now. It still seems very modern and I believe the design will still seem fresh 4 years down the line. I'm probably gonna end up trading in my current Civic when the new one drops next year...
 
Mmmmmm, think I'll be holding on to the R a lil bit longer and wait for a S2000 replacement :)
 
I doubt an S2000 replacement will be coming soon. Honda seems dedicated to the whole "green" initiative these days. The CR-Z probably indicates the direction of their future sports cars. I wouldn't be surprised if a hybrid Civic is being launched next years as well... Should actually be a good option for a daily commute.

Seems to be the general consensus around the globe. I think like most new vehicle designs, an initial "shocking" design will pave the way for longevity. I detested the look of the new Polo when it was first launched and preferred the previous generation's look. These days my opinion has shifted completely, with the newer Polo's looks actually being attractive in a sophisticated way, whilst the older (and Vivo) shape is just puke-worthy.

EDIT: Giving it another look, I must admit I see a hint of Fiesta in there. Might only be the colour that reminds me of a colleague's "giggel groen" Fiesta. :D
 
Ugly, the Renault inspired grille is just silly.
I like the current model now more than this one.

So the new Civic and the new Focus and the new 1 series all look like crap?

I think Audi has the market in the palms of their hands with the launch of the new A3... I suspect it will look 10x better than these?

I'm not sure hey, I prefer the sharp edges of the existing one. This one looks a bit too rounded (and it's missing the triangular exhaust, but that's probably dependent on the model).

The interior does look great though.

The absence of the triangular exhausts was immediately noticeable to me as well. :) I guess they can't just design the same car as the current model, so they have to do something different. The (tri)angular design was what made the current model so revolutionary, whilst the new one evolves that design into something softer and more modern.

That being?? You do not see any exhaust :(
 
What being what? I didn't see any sign of an exhaust either, but I'm sure the "hot" version would have a nice protruding exhaust or 2. The new design feels more sophisticated and is a nice "comfort" upgrade for someone owning the current "sporty" Civic, like me. :p

Yeah but removing the tailpipes altogether is a bit too conservative, and is actually a step backwards IMO. It didn't have to be triangular, but at least display something :(

Love the Honda's - wish they had more models out there.

Guess I'll be the odd one out on the new design - I really like the look of this car from the initial impressions. May change once I've seen it on the roads a bit. That said - I have a civic sedan, much prefer it to the hatch. Hatch was initially awesome looking. Alot of the small specifics like the triangular exhausts etc just looked amazing. The endless clear plastics however kinda caused me to get over it.
Then again - I am probably more of a conservative so I suppose its not surpising :P
