I have a 6MB line.
On the Adsl Lite package that is "unshapped".
I have 4GB of bandwidth.

Trying to browse the internet and stream a youtube video and it's ****ing pathetic.

Look at those international speeds. If I switch to my Afrihost capped/unshaped account I get full speeds for everything!

This is supposed to be an unshaped account. Is there anything I can get them to change? Backbone or **** like that or do I just cancel my account?

It's just meant for light surfing I guess. Axxess is not the most trustworthy or customer-focussed.

My experience with them is a positive one. I have their 4meg shaped uncapped, and my speeds fly at an average of 200kB/s single thread or 400kB/s with a DLmanager.

I've never had an issue with axxess. Maybe its the con? Try synching at a bit lower, or test another ADSL account to see if it is the account or your con.

I've also used the 'uncapped', which becomes capped by throttling very quickly. Sure, speeds are excellent UNTIL that point, but you may as well buy 8gigs of capped (on 384kb) to achieve the same thing.

How can it be my 6MB line if my switching to my Afrihost account I get the full 6MB line speeds?

I thought access used Saix? I see my ISP says "Internet Solutions."

Dunno the cause, but I'm having site issues with Axxess capped to wikipedia and somewhat to Google. I wonder if there is a Akamai link that is down.

Perhaps send them a ticket would be best?

Copy & paste your initial thread should give them enough insight...apparently they don't have any open network issues ;)
