I currently have Intekom as my ISP. I cannot get an answer from Telkom about whether I can use this ISP if I purchase one of their home ASDL packages say the current R270 version. I am sent from pillar to post as this seems to be an abnormal query at the call centre any suggestions

yeah intekom is telkominternet
http://www.intekom.co.za is registered by telkom
you can't get an answer from telkom because most of the new staff there only know about telkominternet, and not that telkominternet used to be intekom before they started trying to change their image

Sheesh, Intekom was bought by Telkom ages ago... they used Intekom as the base of TelkomInternet and Telkom Business Information Services... I never knew there was anyone that still recognised Intekom as an ISP.

If Intekom sell ADSL dialup then you're set... I would probably recommend looking around first. There are many good ISP's around.

I still have a dialup account with Intekom.

AFAIK Intekom has always been a part of telkom, just the same as saix, and not a separate entity.

Really? That's not what Telkom told us when we were co-locating servers with Intekom... they had to be transfered over to TBIS, Telkom told us that they bought out intekom, so there must have been some private ownership or something.

Does anyone have the details of whomever is now in charge of the intekom domain?

Trying to explain to Telkom over the phone is a no go, wasted about 3 hours of life. I suspect it's way before their time so I need the info of a higher up if anyone has please PM me it would be greatly appreciated.

'Intekom' isn't a valid domain name, but intekom.com and intekom.co.za are both domains that were use by Intekom, and are currently part of Telkom Internet, but the Intekom brand was phased out though some remnants remain. For example, compare what you get at webmail.intekom.com to webmail.telkomsa.net .

I am able to do DNS updates on intekom.com or intekom.co.za, but I think the last of the Intekom employees that were at the call centre were outsourced a year ago and forced out of the outsourcing company by the end of last year ....

(I don't see a PM from you ..)
