Where To Buy WD TV Live - Oct 2011 Model

Hi,

Can someone point me where to buy the "Western Digital TV Live" at the best price in SA
I really like the reviews on this new model

He wants the new one released in September/October 2011. Dude as fas as I know it is not yet available in this country , yet. I am also looking for this model .
 
^ true, not currently on any supplier lists that I've seen. Model number WDBGXT0000NBK (PAL version).

Amazon have it listed, and it's out of stock...
 
Someone that went to the states just picked one of these up for me and I really could not recommend it enough! This thing is brilliant , especially considering its price and size. The added WIFI made this a must have for me. It plays any HD content I threw at it (and that's over WIFI!) and the GUI is also really nicely designed. I was incredibly surprised at how easy I got it to play stuff from my computer on the network. Works a whole lot better than both my PS3 and xbox for media streaming.
 
Got delivery from Amazon.com on Friday - it was shipped from US on Wednesday. Including postage and customs (prepaid on check out) USD152.68.

ziy... Pardon my inane question but what did the total amount to for the product with delivery in (the downward spiralling) RANDS :)

Wanting to get one in the next few days.

Using R8/$ that works out at like R1,300. WD TV Live is available for around R1,050 locally.
 
would actually love the upgrade, but apart from the better looking GUI, which is always a plus, and the wireless, which I doubt I will use, I don't think I will jump to upgrading the 2 WDTV HD's I currently have.

ofc depending on how much they will be locally and if I can find decent priced buyers for them, I might try 1 to see how it goes.

How in the world did Amazon ship to you? Amazon.com does not ship electronics to SA as far as I aware ...?
 
Western Digital has an official supplier in South Africa so you could probably order it from a reputable supplier. You should also take a look at the Roku box similar sort of thing I saw one for $59

Total cost was R1,263.75.
