E-tolling begins on 30 April 2012: National Treasury

hahahahahahahaha

I meant HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA

Suck my middle finger. If you think this is gonna happen you are severely in need of a new brain

Significantly, the debt of SANRAL will increase to 59 billion rand.

Is that number correct? Did the GP road improvements cost close to 60 Billion Rand?

+1
HAHEHAHEHAHE... me too from a car to a meter taxi perharps

BWAHAHAHA, they can go shove a pineapple up their arses. I will never pay them a cent. They can arrest me, beat me up and even kill me, I will not pay these fscking monkeys anything more.

No - they DID cost 4x the international norm, and the billing/account/tolling system runs into billions as well (which all goes offshore), and this has been paid for, and now there is interest on the money that was borrowed to pay for this.
The miracle of compound interest is now going to f@ck us all over to the 60bn figure

Could someone please clarify the following to me. If I go through only 1 toll gantry and then I offramp, do I get charged? Or would you have to go through 2 in order for them to know the distance travelled and charge me?

I feel the same. They can go **** themselves.

They must then remove the fuel levy that already is supposed to pay for the upkeep of roads.

Each gantry has a specific price. So you would get charged at that gantry's price, regardless of how many off/onramps you passed. It's actually bloody unfair. Some sections of the freeway cost over R2/km and some are free.

In fact, it's increased by 20c/l

Can someone post a break down of the levies we pay on the fuel price?

If they want to charge tolls to the people of Gauteng then the fuel levy used for road upkeep needs to be removed.

The rest of the country isn't tolled so they won't do that. And the rest of the roads in Gauteng also isn't tolled. But ja, it does feel unfair. No more driving far for me then.

The gantry is the method they use to charge so whether you do 1 or 10km before it it costs the same.

I think the government has forgotten to increase my salary to account for higher food prices now that the trucks that transport the food have to pay tolls.

R20 for a loaf of bread? Why not?

Feck the ANC, feck Zuma and mostly feck SANRAL. I will not pay them F'all.

This is precisely why the fuel levy has been increased...

to cover their "decrease" in the toll fees....
