"HackStore” for Mac OS X launches

Interesting.. I wonder if VLC and HandBrake will be available through the HackStore.. as they are awesome apps thats been left out of the AppStore :wtf:

Edit: Ahhh I see all the good stuff there in the screenshots! Will have to give it a go when I get home..

On the surface it seems like a good idea.

In reality it's probably a very bad idea to install anything from there. Without any control it will go the same malware route as the Android app store.

No need to be scared of the dark. I use Appfresh and Bodega, and I've not picked up any rashes yet. I do have Sophos running in the background, just in case ...

But these guys had better get their servers up and running soon, or they are looking at an uninstall.
 
Ridiculous waste of time; OSX is not locked down, so why waste your time with site like this -- just use the longstanding resources sites as they still work.
 
a bit shady... gonna skip this one :erm: so far there is no need anyway
