Worldwide tablet shipment estimates up

Meh. Give me data on items sold, not items shipped.
Otherwise you get data that indicates that the BlackBerry Playbook is doing well

This is a bit unfair, they cant really say how many Android tablets are in South Africa or anywhere else. People import them from dealextreme, Dhgate, they can also buy Point Of view tabs from Esquire, Msi ones from Pinnacle, fong kong ones on bid or buy etc. Looks like they only count the main brand Android tabs that you can get in a cell phone shop or a place like Makro.

Example is when Esquire had a special on their pov tabs, they sold about close to 30 8" tabs in about 4 days and close to 20 10" tabs in the same time period, thus they had to have more shipped to their shops throughout SA. Were these part of the "shipment expectations" thing?

What does that have to do with the article? It says people are buying tablets, and demand not slowing down.

Its not saying Brand X is better than Brand Y, if that's what you want this article is not for you.

In my opinion its got a lot to do with the article and I do agree with him, I would also like to see items sold vs items shipped.

You want my supplier from "fong kong" releases info of items shipped to me???
hauw.

It does not tell us whether people are buying tablets. It tell us that more tablets are being shipped. And as we all know, channel stuffing is a real problem. This tells us nothing about tablet sales or about demand
