Apple iOS users are more loyal than Android ones

That's cos the poor shlobs had to pay so much more for their apps. :D

... and also cos they are mindless drones... but we'll leave that one out of it, umkay! ;)

iOS on ipad 2 and Cynamodgen 9 on Android phone, I have a cheap phone (Samsung GIO) so it's most likely the issue but have found the google play apps to be buggy and to slow down my phone, granted it could be the hardware.

I also find it difficult to find decent apps which there are for my phone and more often than the ipad apps which are plentiful and function the way I like.

I have to delete the android one's as they often crash or slow the phone down like whatsapp did.
The faulty app issue also affected my phone when it was on 2.3.4, whatsapp now works on the latest ROM.

iOS apps on the other hand run as they should and I have never even once had issues BUT ipad is is
A: tablet
B: costs more then the phone, although I paid R2900 for the ipad 2 2nd hand.
Cause they to embarrassed to admit it was a waste of money ... lol

I abandoned google apps a while back as I mostly use my ipad now, so have been out of the Android scene for a while.

In other news, cult members are more loyal to their cults than non-cult members.

Apple users have Stockholm syndrome

http://www.strandreports.com/sw4031.asp

... and the list of excuses is funny :P

1. The first iPhone was not a 3G phone: What do you need 3G for? You can easily use the iPhone without using a 3G network and anyway, 3G is not particularly widespread, so this is not a problem.

2. The phone cannot send MMS: There is no need to send MMSs, hardly anybody sends MMSs.

3. You cannot forward a SMS: This is a function that hardly anybody uses and was therefore not included in the first iPhones.

4. The phone has a poor camera: The built-in camera is perfectly adequate and the iPhone takes fantastic photos with its camera.

5. It is not a real Smartphone, it cannot multitask: The phone has all the necessary functions and the OS is technically superior compared to other Smartphone OSs currently on the mobile market.

6. The iPhone cannot multitask, resulting in a great number of applications being unusable: The absence of multitasking is a deliberate design decision resulting in a faster UI.

7. You can not change battery on the iPhone: How many customers run around with spare batteries? None or very few.

8. Apple decides which applications you can install on the phone: This is good, because Apple thereby ensures that you do not get inferior programs on your phone.

9. The app store is a closed universe: Apple knows what is best for end users, which is good for the many iPhone users.

10. The phone does not support Java, so games need to be developed especially for the iPhone: Java is slow and not properly integrated with mobile phones, games for the iPhone are much better because they are directly developed for the iPhone.

11. The app store contains numerous small trivial commercial programs: The app store’s large selection gives users the freedom of choice and the many small programs help make the end users daily lives more fun.

12. It is difficult to use the touchscreen for fast SMS messaging: The touchscreen makes the phone easier to use and you quickly get used to it.

13. The iPhone is a low technology phone packaged in a sleek design: Apple has taken the combination of the design and UI to the next level, therefore the technological specifications don't really matter.

14. The quality of the phone is poor, calls are often interrupted and network coverage is poor: It is a good phone, these problems are due to the operators’ networks and not the phone.

15. You can only purchase the iPhone from operators chosen by Apple: Apple has spent a great deal of time and energy selecting the best operators for customers.

16. The iPhone is targeted at a niche segment and will not be able to develop further: Apple has succeeded in designing a phone for people that appreciate design and user friendliness.

17. The iPhone does not support memory cards: Iphones already offer the necessary memory people require and end users can choose between two models, one with a little memory and one with a great deal of memory.

18. You can not install your own browser: The browser Apple has designed is so superior that you do not need any other browser on your phone.

19. You cannot use the iPhone as a modem for your portable PC: People that have an iPhone do not need their portable when on the move.

20. There is no radio in the phone: You do not need a radio in your iPhone because the iPhone supports iTunes that offers almost unlimited music.

Are they talking about the Second Coming of Steve Jobs yet?

Compare bottom of the range with custom OS to Top of the line supported OS.

Seems legit.

The funny (or sad) thing is, I've heard pretty much every one of those excuses over the years, along with the one about how using Bluetooth to send files is not really neccessary since no one does it, or how copy and paste are not included because it affects the user experience or cosmic aura happiness rays or some gobbledegook. iPhones have come a long way towards being proper smartphones since those days, although this one will probably always be used:

<sarcasm>Wow, I'm glad I saw this article. Going to ditch my Andrioid immediately and rush out buy iPhone, iPad, iTouch, the works. I also want to part of the family of loyal users.</sarcasm>

Well if Samsung would release OEM software updates instead of people having to resort to custom roms to just get their products to Work smoothly then they would be tops, I would definitely support them but until.............

They are getting better - but they're in no way innovative and all the things some users complain. I mean 3G, copy/paste, multitask, MMS etc were all left out and yet millions bought it?

iPad 2 is still selling with a camera from 90's and when I bought mine, a 20 MEGABYTE limit on download and updating apps. Plus other issues like no SMS (it's not a phone, they say) or hotspot.

Fact is Apple is pretty much behind the world but their fanastic fanbase keep them going. You see how many want to preorder before knowing exactly what they're getting or the price?

Number ten can be tauhgt a lesson by BlackBerries and number 14 & 15 contradict each other.

Next time Grandma asks why you're going to the mall on Sunday morning instead of church, tell her you're going to Apple Chapel.

For Apple fans, the brand triggers a reaction in the brain that's not unlike that of religious devotees, according to a BBC documentary series that cites neurological research.

The neuroscientists ran a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test on an Apple fanatic and discovered that images of the technology company's gadgets lit up the same parts of the brain as images of a deity do for religious people, the report says.

So this makes sense to me. Appleites are expected to be more devoted.

lol ... uneducated android hate speech ... My stock GB worked without any issues, I rooted and rom'd for fun, to be different. Not because something didnt work, never been the case! I have come from Froyo days on my HTC Desire, to ICS on my Note & Tablet.

Just funny when an iPhone fanboy insists android is broken ... lol - 90% of the people I know who have iPhones jailbreak them ... so its tit for tat! And Samsung does a pretty decent job on their android stuff...

But that's the thing, Apple products and fans have always been like that, since long before they made phones, or even music players.

Their desktop PC's were complete rubbish before they started using Intel CPU's and they still sold millions and millions of iMacs. iPods couldn't play .mp3 files, you had to convert to their stupid format, and they had far less storage capacity and features compared to the competition like the Creative Nomad that came before.

Yet the faithful still camp out in front of the iStore, in the iCold and iDark, through the night to get one of the first new overpriced, underpowered devices. Review sites still talk about "iphone killers" even though stuff from 2 or 3 years ago easily killed it already.

Talking about that, I was shocked when I saw a clip of someone asking people where Apple products are made all over the US.(They covered this as part of why people que for Apple) You will be suprized even with all the Foxconn news that a lot of Americans still believe Apple is a pure American company that make goods in America for Americans.

My brain almost exploded with the WTF.

Unfortunately, Americans are just notoriously ignorant to anything that is more than 100km out of their radius of existence ;)
